Interlibrary Loan Services
Interlibrary services are used to get items from other librairies.
Use Prospector to request materials from Colorado Libraries.

Prospector is the fastest way to get what you want from Colorado and Wyoming libraries.

Use your Boulder library card to create a hold on what you need.

In most cases, your items will arrive within a week from our library partners.
Use Worldcat via FirstSearch to request things you can't find in Prospector.
To make an Interlibrary Loan request:
- Worldcat (in library link). Remote access requires a Boulder Library Card number.
- Find the item you want to borrow. Click on the title to bring up a new window.
- You'll see an ILL (Interlibrary Loan) button on the upper left of the navigation bar.

- Clicking this button will bring up an online form.

Fill out the form completely.
For Articles use the box to the right.
- If you indicate an amount you'd be willing to pay, you are responsible for this amount if the item is borrowed.
- Requirements: A Valid Boulder Public Library Card and Boulder County Residency
- There is a limit of 5 transactions in process at one time.
- International shipping charges of $15.00 and up are applied.

Renew ILL & ILL Article Request
Use the following link to request articles through interlibrary Loan.
ILL Renewal

Request renewal at least two days before the due date.

Allow several days for a response.

Notification will be through email.

There is no guarantee of renewal; lending libraries set their own policy.
