I absolutely adored this book! It was so sweet and thrilling. I loved learning about the brujx culture and community, and especially loved learning about it from an intersectional perspective, as Yadriel is transgender, gay, and Latinx, and all of his identities come together to make him who he is. I also LOVED Julian. He is such a great, charming, wonderful love interest for Yadriel. Their love develops so softly and sweetly, so I couldn't help but squeal when they finally did kiss at the end. It is also wonderfully atmospheric and spooky, and it definitely left me flipping the pages quickly in order to see what would happen next. I was very worried about Julian's fate and was pleasantly surprised by the ending. Great book.
