Cover ArtNo one does rom-coms quite like Emily Henry and this book is a triumph, I laughed, I cried, it is fabulous. This book is an amazing read both hilarious, with some of the best banter you will ever read, and has a lot of heart. Charlie, Nora and her sister Libby are wonderful characters that you are going to love.

Publisher's description:
A by-the-book literary agent must decide if happily ever after is worth changing her whole life for in this insightful, delightful new novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Beach Read and People We Meet on Vacation. Nora Stephens life is books-she's read them all-and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby. Which is why she agrees to go to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina for the month of August when Libby begs her for a sisters' trip away-with visions of a small town transformation for Nora who she's convinced needs to become the heroine in her own story. But instead of picnics in meadows, or run-ins with a handsome country doctor or bulging-forearmed bartender, Nora keeps bumping into Charlie Lastra, a bookish brooding editor from back in the city. It would be a meet-cute if not for the fact that they've met many times and it's never been cute. If Nora knows she's not an ideal heroine, Charlie knows he's nobody's hero, but as they are thrown together again and again-in a series of coincidences no editor worth their salt would allow-what they discover might just unravel the carefully crafted stories they've written about themselves

When the king dies, Lady Elanna is accused of the king's murder and thrust back into her father's rebellion, a rebellion she wants nothing to do with. She just wants to study plants. She has inherited magic that connects her to the land, magic that she has had to keep secret. But this magic may just be the only way she can save her kingdom. This book is the first in a fantasy trilogy, and the story revolves around three strong female characters, refreshing for epic fantasy. The book reads like the grown-up version of the works of Tamora Pierce. The setting and magic systems are also evocative of elements of Tolkien and Diana Gabaldon, with strong celtic influences throughout the book.

Cover ArtStep into a world of magical libraries and living books, with a plucky heroine and an intriguing mystery. Someone is attacking the Great Libraries of Austermeer, which throws Elizabeth into the courtly intrigue of the sorcerers. She soon discovers that things are not as she has been led to believe. To survive and unravel the mystery of who is attacking the libraries, she will have to team up with the enemy: a sorcerer and (gasp) a demon too. This book is one of those rare truly magical reads; engaging fantasy with adventure, mystery, and characters you can root for. The story is incredibly atmospheric, almost a gothic feel, and really draws the reader in. It would be an especially good read for the Fall and Halloween.

Cover ArtWith secret societies and international intrigue, this book is a fun, fast-paced combination of teen fiction and international spy thriller. Grace, the granddaughter of the powerful U.S. ambassador, has returned to Adria's Embassy Row for the first time since her mother died. And her family is worried because she is convinced that her mother was murdered by a man with a scar and she is certain she has seen him (this time for real). In a place where the cute boy next door just happens to be Russian, not to mention her brother's best friend, there are plenty of ways a slightly reckless teenager could cause an international incident. Especially since Grace is most certainly not okay. Grace and her new friends from The Row dive into a world of intrigue, secret societies and unravel the secrets of Adria and the truth of her mother's death.

Cover ArtThis is the story of a bank robbery turned hostage crisis, but it isn't really about that. It is really a story about people trying to find their way in the world, the unseen connections between people and the kindness of strangers. In this novel, Fredrik Backman has created another heartwarming story like the one that I, and so many readers, adored in A Man Called Ove. This book is a perfect gem of a story, and it has easily surpassed Ove as my favorite of his books; it is one of those books that I just wanted to hug when I finished it.

Looking at real estate isn't usually a life-or-death situation, but an apartment open house becomes just that when a failed bank robber bursts in and takes a group of strangers hostage. The captives include a recently retired couple who relentlessly hunt down fixer-uppers to avoid the painful truth that they can't fix their own marriage. There's a wealthy bank director who has been too busy to care about anyone else and a young couple who are about to have their first child but can't seem to agree on anything, from where they want to live to how they met in the first place. Add to the mix an eighty-seven-year-old woman who has lived long enough not to be afraid of someone waving a gun in her face, a flustered but still-ready-to-make-a-deal real estate agent, and a mystery man who has locked himself in the apartment's only bathroom, and you've got the worst group of hostages in the world. Each of them carries a lifetime of grievances, hurts, secrets, and passions that are ready to boil over. None of them is entirely who they appear to be. And all of them--the bank robber included--desperately crave some sort of rescue. As the authorities and the media surround the premises these reluctant allies will reveal surprising truths about themselves and set in motion a chain of events so unexpected that even they can hardly explain what happens next

Cover ArtTyler Jones, star of Aurora Academy, was supposed to get first pick of the best recruits for his team, but he was late. He was late because he was rescuing a girl off a derelict spaceship, where she has been stuck in cryo-sleep for two centuries. No, things are not going Tyler's way, and this is just the beginning, since Aurora, the girl he rescued, seems to be wanted by some very powerful galactic authorities and they are not too fussy about eliminating witnesses. So now they are on the run with seemingly the last team you would want. This team of misfits is going to have to try and save the galaxy, assuming they can survive and not kill each other in the meantime. I loved just about everything about this book: the characters are great, there is some really witty humor, and the adventure is fun and fast paced. This book is a must read for any sci-fi fans, especially if you like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It is one of the best I have ever read.
